Family DirectoriesIf you have not picked up your Family Directory inserts, they are available in all division offices as well as the Central Administration office. You may also purchase the green binder or additional directories at any of these offices. Just a reminder that for every tuition, you now receive a free Family Directory insert. Collectibles for CashThe Collectibles for Cash aka the EBAY Project has been cancelled. If you have any questions, please contact Gary Butts in the Advancement Office. Shorecrest Parent AssociationFall FestivalEvery Halloween, the Shorecrest Parent Association hosts a fun family day for all Lower Division families and students. The festivities begin following the costume parade and end with a hot dog lunch cooked and served by the Shorecrest Administration Team. Many families mention this as one of their favorite days at Shorecrest. The day will include amusement games, pony rides, bounce houses, rock walls and much more, with a few surprises added this year. We have kicked off our planning sessions, but still welcome anyone interested in being on this committee to get in touch with the Fall Festival Chair Karen Quilty at karenquilty@tampabay.rr.com or chair-elect Sydney Legakis at slegakis@yahoo.com. This is a great way for new parents to help out and meet other parents at school. We are recruiting Middle and Upper Division parents to work a 2-3 hour shift during the Fall Festival so Lower Division parents can spend the morning with their children. We will include more information on this in future updates. Attention, ParentsOn the Parents Page of the Shorecrest website, there is a new section filled with information specifically for our new families. Click here, take a look at it, and let us know what you think. Did we leave anything out? Any suggestions for making information more readily available to our new and returning families? We want to hear your thoughts! Send an e-mail to admissions@shorecrest.org. Shorecrest Parent Association

E-Bytes main pageResponses to the E-Bytes PollYou're the guest chef on a famous cooking show. What will you make?A fool of myself. Anything chocolate with chocolate on top. My grandmother's famous Rum Cake! Hot Pockets... seriously the best thing ever to be put in a pocket. Cheese cake. Chicken Parmesan! Mac n cheese! The best food combination ever! I will make my mama's home-made chicken with a Ritz cracker crust. Also, a tomato and basil linguine with sauteed broccoli. For dessert, a fudgie brownie and chocolate gateau. Salsa. Macaroni and cheese. Why can't there just be free food? It's tasty, it's good, and most importantly it's FREE! Lasagna. It's my all-time favorite. Only the best dessert in the world - creme brulee (with peppermint leaves on top). Pasta with butter and cheese! Yummmmm. Chocolate milk. I will make a giant edible flower - each guest gets a petal. A mess.. Mac and cheese with Spam... with a side of something on fire. I would make "bulgogi," a Korean beef-based classic! If I was the guest chef on a famous cooking show, I would make angel food cake. Tacos. Parmesan cheese with a lovely steak. The parmesan cheese will be spread on top of the steak, freshly made, including sweet fried onions and a nice glass of wine. Pie (I like pie). |
